Trina Solar, PetroGreen to enhance solar energy adoption in the Philippines

Trina Solar and PetroGreen have joined forces to promote the adoption of solar energy in the Philippines.

Under a master sales agreement (MSA), Trina Solar will supply 117 MW of photovoltaic (PV) solar modules for multiple projects overseen by Rizal Green Energy Corporation, a PetroGreen subsidiary.

This partnership is geared towards supporting the Philippines’ goal of achieving 35% renewable energy by 2030.

The companies have already supplied modules for the Dagohoy solar PV project in Bohol, and have plans for additional projects in San Jose, Nueva Ecija, Pangasinan, and Isabela provinces.

PetroGreen will also explore Trina Solar’s advanced solar technologies, such as n-type iTOPCon Advanced cell technology and Vertex products, to enhance performance.

Both parties are also open to potential collaborations in solar trackers and battery energy storage systems, demonstrating their commitment to innovative renewable energy solutions.
