GameChange Solar and JZNEE have announced plans to construct a 3 GW tracker factory in Saudi Arabia

Connecticut-based solar tracking solutions provider GameChange Solar has partnered with China-based photovoltaic (PV) manufacturer Jiangsu Zhenjiang New Energy Equipment (JZNEE) to establish a 3 GW tracker factory in Dammam, Saudi Arabia.

The facility, initially capable of producing up to 3 GW, has the potential for expansion to 5 GW and is set to commence operations by June 2024. The collaboration aims to address the growing demand for PV trackers in the region.

GameChange Solar will supply non-steel components like actuators, node controllers, and drive systems, while JZNEE will provide the necessary structural elements for tracker systems, along with handling assembly and manufacturing processes.

Additionally, GameChange Solar will offer comprehensive after-sales support, commissioning services, software solutions, and customer service to clients in the Middle East.

The company has already received positive feedback from Middle Eastern customers for its cutting-edge Genius Tracker systems, which have been deployed in local projects, including the Abydos Kom Ombo 560 MW solar plant in Egypt, owned by AMEA Power.

Founded in 2004 and headquartered in Jiangyin, Jiangsu province, China, JZNEE operates a US solar mounts factory with an annual capacity of 160,000 tons, supplying tracking bracket parts and components to companies like NEXTracker.
