Xylem Inc., a prominent global provider of water solutions, has announced the appointment of Andrea van der Berg as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, effective September 1, 2026. She will report directly to Matthew Pine, the President and Chief Executive Officer, and will be part of Xylem’s Executive Leadership Team. Van der Berg takes over from William “Bill” Grogan, who will leave the company to explore new professional opportunities. Grogan will remain until mid-September to ensure a seamless transition.
“Andrea is a skilled leader in industrial finance with extensive experience in business operations, capital allocation, value creation, and engagement with investors,” stated Matthew Pine, President and CEO of Xylem. “Her comprehensive understanding of our business, international leadership background, and proven execution track record make her well-suited to help accelerate our strategic priorities and create long-term value.”
Currently, van der Berg holds the position of Senior Vice President of Finance for Xylem’s Water Infrastructure segment and brings over 20 years of experience in finance and business leadership. Throughout her career, she has worked in various roles including corporate finance, financial planning, investor relations, treasury, and business operations, with 13 years spent at Honeywell in different finance and leadership capacities.
