WEG to deliver ‘sustainability’ presentation at Europump’s 2024 annual meeting.

WEG, a global leader in motor, drive, and asset management systems technology, will be the main sponsor of the upcoming Europump annual meeting at De Vere Beaumont estate near Windsor, UK from 22-24 May 2024. During the event, WEG will deliver a keynote presentation focusing on the ethical, ecological, and commercial advantages of sustainability.

The presentation will be conducted by two senior executives from WEG HQ in Brazil. Daniel Godinho, the director of sustainability and corporate affairs, responsible for social investment, institutional affairs, and business intelligence, will address the audience.

Additionally, Martin Brand, the engineering director at WEG Automation, overseeing the fabrication and engineering of products for various business segments, will also share insights.

As a key supplier to the global pump industry, WEG’s presentation will delve into its internal ESG programs, as well as the products and solutions designed to support partners in their decarbonization journey, and in reducing energy consumption and CO2 emissions.

Organized by the British Pump Manufacturers Association (BPMA), the event will feature a series of meetings and presentations tailored to provide practical value for Europe’s pump manufacturers and suppliers.

Alongside sessions dedicated to the activities of Europump commissions, such as technical, standards, marketing, and SME, a lineup of keynote speakers has been confirmed. This includes Stephen Phipson, chief executive at Make UK; Kiran Ahmed, lead economist at Oxford Economics; and Mike Otten, director of edge and intelligence at Xylem. These experts will be joined by the two speakers from WEG.

Marek Lukaszczyk, European marketing manager, emphasized, “The pump industry, in all its aspects, remains a vital business sector for WEG and its motor, drive, and asset management technology, which support many of the world’s most important pump installations. WEG is dedicated to strengthening its relationship with pump manufacturers globally, and we view the 2024 Europump annual meeting as a platform to reaffirm that universal commitment.”
