WEG Provides Electric Motors for the Kef Eddir-Tipaza Barrage in Algeria.

WEG has delivered 33 W22 and 15 W50 motors for the Kef Eddir-Tipaza initiative. The motor supply comprises both low and medium voltage units, ranging from 30 kW to 900 kW, designated for 14 elevation pump stations.

This water transfer initiative will yield an annual volume of 21 million m3 of water, benefiting 58 underserved areas with 8,613 m3/day. The project, on a regional scale, encompasses the installation of 110 kilometers of pipelines, 14 pumping stations, and 13 reservoirs holding 140,000 m3, along with a water treatment facility producing 210,000 m3/day.

The treatment plant will operate in three stages, each capable of producing and transferring 70,000 m3 of water/day to ensure a stable water supply for the populace.
