Hinnerskov will commence his role in the latter part of the year and no later than September 2024. He will take over from Pasi Laine, who will remain as Valmet’s president and CEO until the new appointment begins.
Coming from Mediq BV, where he served as CEO since 2022, Hinnerskov, a Danish national, brings a wealth of experience. His previous roles include executive positions at Kone and leadership roles at ISS A/S.Additionally, he has a background in private equity, consulting, and investment banking.
Hinnerskov holds a Master’s degree in Economics from Copenhagen Business School. Mikael Mäkinen, Valmet’s board chairman, praised Hinnerskov’s global business leadership experience and expressed confidence in his ability to lead Valmet forward.
