Black & Veatch names Ian Bramson as Vice President of Global Industrial Cybersecurity

Global engineering, construction, and consulting company Black & Veatch has appointed Ian Bramson as vice president of global industrial cybersecurity.

Bramson will oversee the strategy, commercialization, and growth of all cybersecurity solutions at Black & Veatch.

Industrial cybersecurity focuses on protecting various assets, data, people, and processes managed by Operational Technology (OT) digital networks. This includes controls, instrumentation, software, automation, sensors, and OEM equipment crucial to Black & Veatch’s industries.

Patrick Hogan, Chief Client Officer at Black & Veatch, highlighted the increasing cybersecurity risks due to digitization and automation.

Bramson’s extensive experience in OT, industrial sectors, energy, power, water utilities, and cybersecurity consulting makes him the ideal leader for the company’s new global industrial cybersecurity practice.

Bramson brings over 25 years of experience addressing cybersecurity challenges and digital transformation in various industries. He has led successful cybersecurity consulting services and programs globally for the past decade.

Bramson emphasized the critical nature of cybersecurity in today’s landscape, stating that protecting operations and customer data is essential for businesses.
