Sulzer has opened a new test and assembly center adjacent to its current pump manufacturing facility in Mexico City.
The new cutting-edge facility includes a 10-meter-deep hydraulics test bed for large pumps, a digital monitoring system, and a dedicated packaging area.
This expansion allows Sulzer Mexico’s pump facility to increase production capacity for its line of large pumps, meeting the rising demand for infrastructure in the Americas.
The company has extended its presence in Cuautitlan Izcalli, a region within the greater Mexico City area, to facilitate the testing and assembly of high-performance flow equipment from its integrated service location, providing enhanced support for infrastructure projects throughout the Americas.
The new facility’s hydraulics test infrastructure can handle a flow rate of 23,000 cubic meters per hour (m³/h).
Sulzer provides flow equipment, chemtech, and service solutions from its Mexico City location.
Suzanne Thoma, Sulzer’s executive chairwoman, stated, “We aim to be a leading industrial company and service provider, and our new pump facility positions us better to meet our clients’ increasing needs. This investment underscores Sulzer’s ongoing dedication to innovation, excellence, and customer service.”
Claude Ollivier, the managing director of the new facility, commented, “We have a long-standing history with flow equipment technology, which is vital for enabling and optimizing efficiency and sustainability in industry. Our customers trust and appreciate the range and durability of our pumps, and we are excited to welcome them to our new facility, where they can rely on Sulzer quality.”
