Samsung E&A has received a water treatment project in the Middle East valued at approximately $790 million, as reported by sources referencing the company’s announcement.
On July 1, the firm informed Korea’s stock exchange that it had finalized a construction contract worth around 380.8 billion won, roughly equivalent to $247 million, for the headquarters segment of the project. This contract was officially signed on June 30. When combined with an additional $543 million awarded to a foreign subsidiary, the total contract value amounts to about $790 million.
The headquarters portion alone represents approximately 4.22% of Samsung E&A’s consolidated revenue for 2025, which is estimated at around 9.03 trillion won. In addition to the construction agreement, Samsung E&A has also entered into a separate contract with the same client in the Middle East to manage and maintain the water treatment facility once it is constructed. These operations and maintenance agreements are valued at more than 2.5% of last year’s consolidated revenue and are set to last for about 20 years, from 2030 to 2050.
Specifics regarding the contract’s title, the client’s identity, and other detailed terms have not been disclosed. According to the report, this information is being kept confidential at the client’s request, with more details anticipated in the future.
This contract award comes as Samsung E&A aims for an annual order goal of 12 trillion won, with analysts highlighting reconstruction needs across the Middle East as a positive factor for the company’s engineering and construction sector as it moves into the latter half of the year.
