New CEO at Workdry International.

Dan Lee has assumed the role of CEO at Workdry International, the umbrella organization encompassing Selwood, Siltbuster, and Vanderkamp.

In his new capacity, Lee will collaborate closely with investment firm Arcus Infrastructure, which oversees funds holding a majority stake in Workdry, to execute the group’s strategy of positioning itself as the leading provider of pump and wastewater treatment rental solutions in the UK and Europe.

His appointment follows Workdry’s recent acquisition of Vanderkamp, which integrated the Dutch pump rental solutions specialist into the group alongside its established Selwood and Siltbuster businesses.

Lee brings with him a solid track record in capital equipment rental and service businesses. He commenced his career in the industry with NCH Group, a US-based industrial chemical service provider, before transitioning to Safetykleen, a specialist in industrial parts cleaning and washer hire services, where he held senior leadership roles for 11 years.

After the sale of Safetykleen to private equity firm Apax Partners in 2017, he served as group managing director at workplace services company Phs Group.

Subsequently, he founded Krystal Kleen Heritage UK, a chemical surface treatment business that was acquired in 2020, and held the position of president of the EMEA region at Tosca, a company specializing in reusable packaging and performance pooling solutions.

“I am thrilled to be joining Workdry International at a time of significant momentum, inheriting a business that is in excellent shape and embarking on a new phase of domestic and international expansion,” said Lee.

“I am eager to collaborate with a dedicated team of colleagues to help realize the vision and strategy for the upcoming years as Workdry continues to grow both organically and through acquisitions, expanding its leading position in asset rental solutions for water and wastewater handling and treatment in the UK and Europe.”

He succeeds outgoing CEO Richard Brown, who is retiring after nearly 30 years in various roles at Selwood and Workdry.

Brown remarked, “Dan has a proven track record in fostering a positive and inclusive work environment. He is brimming with energy, passion, and vision, and is prepared to steer the business to new heights, with a focus on driving growth while supporting our exceptional teams in delivering outstanding service and solutions to our customers. I have no doubt that our business is poised for its best days under his leadership.”

Jordan Cott, partner at Arcus, expressed, “We at Arcus eagerly anticipate collaborating with Dan and the team to build upon Workdry’s impressive track record and growth aspirations by investing in innovation and new markets – a journey that has already commenced with the recent acquisition of Vanderkamp and one that we are excited to continue in the months and years ahead.”
