MECO, a Grundfos business, has purchased Water Works Inc of San Diego, California to bolster its offering of ultra-pure water treatment services for customers in the life science and bio-pharmaceutical industries.
For companies in the life sciences and other high-tech sectors in California, Water Works designs, engineers, and installs ultra-pure industrial water systems.
Water Works will join MECO and the Grundfos Industry Division’s platform for water treatment solutions.
“Water Works offers MECO a broader product portfolio with smaller capacity, high purity water systems and superior service capabilities in California. We are excited to have them join MECO and reinforce our leadership in providing water solutions to bio-pharmaceutical and life science customers,” said George Gsell, president of MECO.
According to Philippe Laval, VP, Water Treatment Solutions, Industry Division, Grundfos, “We are developing a global water treatment solutions platform with the acquisition of Euro-water in Europe and MECO in the USA to help our industrial customers handle their water concerns.
