
SWPC invites bids for Ras Mohaisen-Baha-Makkah water transmission project
Saudi Water Partnership Company (SWPC) has issued a Request for Proposal (RFP) for Ras Mohaisen – Baha – Makkah Independent Water Transmission Pipeline (IWTP) project, reports Zawya.
In a statement, the firm said that the pipeline project will have a total capacity of 300,000 cubic meters per day and is expected to start commercial operations in the third quarter of 2026.
Earlier this year, SWPC announced a list of 19 pre-qualified bidders. The Build, Own, Operate, and Transfer (“BOOT”) framework for the Project’s development will be chosen by the SWPC.
In August 2021, SWPC announced the deadline for submitting prequalification documents for the Ras Mohaisen-Baha-Makkah Independent Water Transmission Pipeline. In June 2021, SWPC reported that 35 companies had submitted expressions of interest (EOI) (IWTP).
