Workdry International acquires Vanderkamp Group, a temporary pumping solutions specialist based in the Netherlands.

Workdry International has completed the acquisition of Vanderkamp Group, a specialist in temporary pumping solutions based in the Netherlands.

This partnership with Rick van der Kamp and his team aims to expand globally and enhance the joint group’s rental solutions for water and wastewater management.

The acquisition, supported by Arcus Infrastructure Partners as Workdry’s primary investor, will immediately position Workdry as a leading provider of pump rental solutions in the Netherlands and north-west Europe.

By collaborating with Vanderkamp’s expert technical team, Workdry aims to enhance its engineered solutions across the entire organization.

In the Netherlands, Vanderkamp’s operations, including Vanderkamp Pompen and Vanderkamp Service, will continue under the name Vanderkamp – The Dutch Water Engineers, serving as Workdry’s international pump rental solutions division.

In the UK, Vanderkamp’s activities will be gradually integrated into Workdry’s existing operations, including the renowned Selwood pump rental solutions business.

Richard Brown, CEO of Workdry International, expressed, “We have long admired Vanderkamp for their focus on technical excellence and exceptional service, which aligns with our values as a leader in engineered pumping solutions. Bringing Vanderkamp into the Workdry group expands our presence in Europe as part of our strategic growth plans. This integration will offer Selwood and Vanderkamp customers access to an expanded fleet, an extensive branch network, and a growing team of pump rental experts. I am thrilled to welcome Rick and the Vanderkamp team to the Workdry family.”

Rick van der Kamp, the current CEO of Vanderkamp, will remain at the helm of the Vanderkamp business and will also assume a senior management position within the Workdry group. His role will focus on promoting technical excellence, leveraging his extensive experience in water management innovation, and driving international business growth.

Rick van der Kamp stated, “We are excited to become part of the Workdry family, accelerating our global aspirations as The Dutch Water Engineers. With additional resources, Vanderkamp will continue excelling in our core strengths of innovating and delivering cutting-edge solutions. As a part of Workdry, we aim to enhance our expertise and technology, exceeding customer expectations while ensuring stability for all stakeholders – employees, customers, and suppliers. This strengthens our leading position in the temporary pump solutions market, maintaining our practical Dutch approach to solving complex challenges with the unique Vanderkamp DNA.”

Jordan Cott, Partner at Arcus and Chair of Workdry, commented, “We hold great respect for Rick and the business he has developed over the years and are delighted that he has chosen to collaborate with us for the next phase. This acquisition marks a significant step forward for Workdry, laying a solid foundation for expansion into Europe and enhancing the group’s core value proposition in engineered pump rental solutions. It aligns perfectly with Arcus’ mid-market strategy of adding value by supporting top-tier businesses in long-term value creation initiatives, building on our successful history of partnering with exceptional entrepreneurs and family enterprises.”
