Vestum acquires UK market leader in wastewater pumping stations.

Swedish industrial company Vestum AB has purchased all shares of PDAS Holdings Ltd via its subsidiary Pump Supplies Ltd.

Established in 2014, PDAS specializes in proactive maintenance and intelligent monitoring of wastewater pumping stations.

The firm focuses on the design, supply, installation, refurbishment, and maintenance of adoptable pumping stations, packaged pumping stations, and storm attenuation systems for both residential and commercial projects throughout the UK.

A major portion of their services includes intelligent monitoring systems utilizing remote telemetry and cloud-based technology, enabling pump specialists to oversee clients’ pump systems in real-time, thus enhancing maintenance efficiency. PDAS employs 63 staff members and is based in Surrey.

The newly acquired company, which will integrate into Vestum’s Water segment, reported sales of just over SEK200 million during the fiscal year 2023/2024.

“I’m pleased to announce the acquisition of PDAS, which serves as an excellent complementary acquisition to Vestum’s largest entity, Pump Supplies,” stated Vestum CEO Simon Göthberg.

“With its expertise in intelligent monitoring systems, PDAS can utilize the extensive customer network developed by Pump Supplies over the last 40 years to further boost recurring revenue growth. There are tangible synergies in both revenue and cost, and this acquisition enhances Vestum’s already robust position in the UK’s water infrastructure sector.”

Founded in 1982, Pump Supplies provides electric submersible water pumps, including drainage, sewage, and slurry pumps, along with a wide array of accessories and piping systems. The company operates from five locations across England, Wales, and Ireland, employing 89 individuals and headquartered in Gloucester.

“The acquisition of PDAS marks Vestum’s first purchase in two years and showcases our strategy to expand the Water segment through both significant organic growth and acquisitions. Our goal is to elevate the Water segment to become Vestum’s largest division,” Göthberg added.
