Siemens Energy AG updates Q2 results and raises 2025 outlook.

Siemens Energy AG’s (ETR:ENR) wind division continues to exceed consensus expectations, with a pre-special items loss of EUR 249 million (USD 283 million) reported for the second quarter of fiscal year 2025, based on preliminary results. This represents an improvement from the EUR 446 million loss recorded a year earlier and surpasses the consensus estimate of EUR 342 million. The margin was negative 9.2%.

Siemens Gamesa’s revenue increased by 16.2% on a comparable basis, reaching EUR 2.71 billion, which is higher than the EUR 2.38 billion consensus forecast. Although orders slightly decreased year-over-year to EUR 875 million, they still exceeded the consensus of EUR 782 million.

Siemens Energy is actively working to revitalize Siemens Gamesa, aiming for break-even by fiscal year 2026. Following better-than-anticipated overall results for the second quarter, Siemens Energy has raised its full-year outlook.

It now projects comparable revenue growth of 13% to 15%, an increase from the previous forecast of 8% to 10%, and anticipates a profit margin before special items between 4% and 6%, up from the earlier range of 3% to 5%. The net income forecast has been adjusted to as much as EUR 1 billion, instead of around break-even.

Siemens Gamesa is now expected to achieve revenue growth of 0% to 2%, an improvement from the earlier projection of negative 9% to negative 5%, while maintaining a loss before special items of approximately EUR 1.3 billion, consistent with the previous outlook.
