ITT expands pump testing capabilities in Germany, India and Saudi Arabia.

ITT Inc is allocating around US$11 million for the expansion of testing facilities at three of its Industrial Process (IP) locations to bolster capacity for significant project acquisitions in its flow sector.

The enhancements at IP sites in Obernkirchen, Germany, Vadodara, India, and Dammam, Saudi Arabia will boost ITT’s testing capabilities for pumps, motors, and control systems, allowing the company to conduct testing on larger and more complex pump assemblies locally. The completion of these investments is anticipated in the third quarter of 2024.

In Saudi Arabia and India, the investments at ITT’s Goulds Pumps sites will facilitate future expansion in alignment with ITT’s ‘in region, for region’ approach.

Meanwhile, at ITT’s Bornemann pumps facility in Obernkirchen, Germany, the company will be able to simulate real-world conditions through comprehensive multiphase fluid testing once the upgrades are finalized, with a particular emphasis on pump packages utilized in global carbon capture and decarbonization applications.

Luca Savi, ITT’s CEO and president, remarked, “These strategic investments will further strengthen our capabilities and enhance the customer experience, setting ITT apart from its competitors.”
