Introduction to Modern Technologies of Artificial Intelligence webinar
On Saturday 8/12/2023, a webinar entitled “Introduction to Modern Technologies of Artificial Intelligence” was held through “GOOGLE Meet” application, which was presented by Dr. Eng. Khaled Abu El-Magd, who holds a PhD in “Modern Applications of Artificial Intelligence” and this webinar was sponsored by the Aqua Energy Expo platform, the Virtual Expo for water and energy companies and products.
All attendees of the live broadcast were awarded a certificate of attendance for the webinar from the Water Technology Experts Forum and Academy.
The webinar included several titles and sub-topics, namely:
-Definition of artificial intelligence (advantages and disadvantages)
-The Internet of things
-Augmented reality and its applications
-Machine learning algorithms and their applications such as (Chat GPT)
-The future of robots
-Rotational planes and self-imaging
-Self-driving cars and planes
-Recognizing and imitating sounds
-Applications of artificial intelligence in the medical field
-Artificial Intelligence ethics
At the beginning of the webinar, Dr. Eng. Khaled talked about the definition of artificial intelligence and human intelligence and comparing them. He also talked about scientists’ attempt to simulate human intelligence by creating smart machines that are able to interact like a human.
Dr. Eng. Khaled added, “The computer is distinguished from the human in difficult things, for example determining the number of words in a book.”
He continued his explanation of the algorithms, their definition, and an extensive explanation of their steps, and he mentioned many examples of the artificial intelligence site, including (chat GPT), (Midjourney), and he talked about an important application of artificial intelligence, which is Augmented Reality, and other applications such as face recognition, Car Plate Recognition, Dones, and others. Then he mentioned the advantages and problems of artificial intelligence,
He asked a question, saying, “Is artificial intelligence dangerous to humans?” , Then he replied, “Artificial intelligence may be a source of danger to humans if it is used in a bad way.”
He followed up the webinar by talking about the future of artificial intelligence.
In the end, he answered many of his questions present.
