India’s NTPC assigns 1.5 GW of wind-solar hybrid projects at $0.040 per kilowatt-hour

NTPC has completed its (Tranche-IV) tender for ISTS-linked wind-solar hybrid capacity, achieving an average tariff of INR 3.30/kWh. ABC Cleantech (Axis Energy) secured the largest share of 750 MW with the lowest tariff bid of INR 3.27/kWh. Juniper Green Energy obtained 300 MW at INR 3.29/kWh.

The remaining capacity was awarded to Renew (300 MW) and ACME Cleantech (150 MW) at INR 3.32/kWh. The successful bidders will develop the projects under a build-own-operate (BOO) model, with the flexibility to choose any location in India as long as they connect to the ISTS.
