Grundfos, a company specializing in advanced pump solutions and water technologies, is marking 40 years of operations in Singapore. Being the world’s pioneer in water solutions with approved net-zero Science-Based targets, Grundfos is committed to supporting Singapore’s green transition through investments in research and development, partnerships, and talent development.
Established in Singapore in 1984 as the first international pump company, Grundfos has played a significant role in the nation’s sustainable development journey. Their solutions have been instrumental in optimizing water and energy usage in iconic landmarks like Gardens by the Bay, Marina Bay Sands, and Resorts World Sentosa. Over 300 buildings have achieved gold ratings and above under the Building and Construction Authority’s Green Mark certification scheme with Grundfos’ solutions.
Grundfos Singapore’s Jalan Tukang facility is enhancing its green infrastructure and building operations to maintain its BCA Green Mark gold rating. Noteworthy initiatives include the installation of a Photovoltaics (PV) power plant, expected to achieve a 120% energy gain and reduce carbon emissions by 493 tonnes of CO2 annually.

Grundfos’ Commercial Building Services (CBS) division inaugurated the Singapore Innovation Hub in November 2023 to lead the way in developing energy-efficient solutions for commercial buildings. This hub fosters collaboration with industry partners and researchers to co-create smart solutions for energy and water efficiency, particularly in cooling applications.
The company collaborates with Singaporean institutions like Singapore Polytechnic and Ngee Ann Polytechnic to develop sustainable solutions and support talent development. In 2019, Grundfos introduced its Distributed Pumping System in Asia, showcasing a sustainable cooling approach. Community engagement is also a priority for Grundfos, with initiatives like coastal clean-ups at Jurong Lake Gardens to promote environmental conservation.
