The White House press release highlighted that a total of $7 billion has now been allocated for these initiatives.

The Bipartisan Infrastructure Law’s investment of almost $13 billion in wastewater funding to upgrade essential systems nationwide addresses the health risks posed by inadequate wastewater and sanitation facilities .

Furthermore, the release underlines the success of the Closing America’s Wastewater Access Gap Community Initiative.

Since 2022, EPA and the Department of Agriculture have collaborated with 11 underserved communities to address the disparity between capital improvement needs and available funding to carry out necessary projects.
