Energy Recovery Reveals $28 Million Worth of Desalination Deals for Leading PX Q400 Device

Energy Recovery, Inc. has announced contracts worth over $28 million to supply its latest top-of-the-line PX® Pressure Exchanger® energy recovery device (ERD), the PX Q400, for mega desalination projects in the Gulf region.

These projects will provide nearly 1.5 million cubic meters of water for municipal use in the water-stressed Gulf region, showcasing trust in Energy Recovery’s newest innovation, the PX Q400.

With unmatched capacity and efficiency among PX® Pressure Exchangers®, the Q400 delivers top performance and the lowest expected life cycle cost for seawater reverse osmosis (SWRO) desalination due to reduced maintenance and operational costs.

Rodney Clemente, Energy Recovery’s Senior Vice President of Water, hailed the PX Q400 as the premier ERD for SWRO desalination.

By selecting the PX Q400, customers are demonstrating confidence in Energy Recovery’s ability to innovate and provide top-performing ERDs while maintaining the reliability they expect.

All orders are set to be shipped by Q4 2024. Once operational, the PX Q400 devices are forecasted to avert over 600,000 metric tons of carbon emissions, equivalent to removing approximately 130,000 passenger cars from the roads annually.
