Ebara will supply 8 large water pumps for the Las Vegas project.

Ebara Corp has secured a contract from the Southern Nevada Water Authority (SNWA) to furnish eight substantial water pumps for the city of Las Vegas in Nevada, United States.

Las Vegas, a popular tourist destination, is situated in a desert region with minimal rainfall. The city sustains its large population with water primarily sourced from Lake Mead, formed by the Hoover Dam, which stores water from the Colorado River and other origins.

To enhance operational flexibility and meet the demand in the northern part of the Las Vegas Valley, additional pumps are required at two existing pumping stations.

Approximately 20 years ago, Ebara supplied 12 large pumps to SNWA’s Lamb Pump Station and Sloan Pump Station. The upcoming addition of eight new large double suction single-stage centrifugal pumps will further augment the capacity of these two pumping stations.
