DuPont has launched a comprehensive Direct Lithium Extraction (DLE) portfolio that includes over 20 products designed to enhance lithium recovery from various brine resources. This initiative aims to provide customized solutions for scalable lithium production, responding to the increasing global demand. DLE offers an alternative to traditional methods like hard rock mining and evaporation, using advanced separation technologies for efficient lithium extraction.
The portfolio features lithium-selective sorbents, nanofiltration and reverse osmosis membranes, and ion exchange resins, covering the entire lithium brine treatment process from extraction to concentration. Customers can opt for complete end-to-end solutions or select individual technologies based on their specific needs.
A key benefit of this portfolio is its flexibility, allowing tailored solutions for different extraction applications. It includes specialized technologies like DuPont™ AmberSorb™ adsorbents for varying brine temperatures and FilmTec™ LiNE elements for unique separation capabilities. Enhanced by advanced ultrafiltration modules and ion exchange resins, the DLE portfolio aims to improve lithium yield, purity, and concentration, thereby optimizing the overall extraction process.
