FLSmidth creates a new business division focused on pumps, cyclones, and valves.

The new PCV Business Line, which includes the core Krebs pumps portfolio, will be overseen by Pat Turner as president. Turner has a lengthy tenure at FLSmidth, having initially joined the company in 1982.

He previously spearheaded the PCV business and significantly boosted its growth. In 1999, he also led the acquisition of the millMAX pump line. Until 2022, he served as president for FLSmidth’s North American Region.

While the business has experienced solid growth over the years, FLSmidth expresses a clear intention to further bolster its market position with PCV.

“When we introduced our CORE’26 strategy in early 2023, we highlighted PCV as a crucial strategic focus area,” stated Mikko Keto, Group CEO at FLSmidth. “Although our PCV business has shown robust growth in recent years, there is still substantial untapped potential. Coupled with what we consider to be the finest pumps in the market, I am fully confident that we will achieve – or perhaps even surpass – our own aspirations for PCV in the long run.”

Turner remarked: “I am thrilled to be back at FLSmidth and to contribute to unlocking our complete potential within PCV. Energy efficiency and productivity are two of the most critical drivers in the mining industry, and I firmly believe that our top-notch PCV technologies present a distinct value proposition to our customers.”
