Schneider Electric names Farrukh Shad as the new Head of Sustainability Business for APMEA region

Schneider Electric has appointed Farrukh Shad as the Head of Sustainability Business for the Asia Pacific, India, Middle East, and Africa (APMEA) region.

In his new role based in Hong Kong, Shad will be responsible for leading Schneider Electric’s sustainability efforts in a key growth area.

With more than 25 years of diverse experience in different industries, Shad brings valuable insights to support Schneider Electric’s climate mitigation initiatives and assist large businesses in APMEA in reducing carbon emissions.

Shad has led business transformation initiatives and advocated for active energy management and sustainability

Over the past ten years at Schneider Electric, Shad has been at the forefront of driving business transformation efforts and promoting the importance of proactive energy management and sustainability.

His new focus will be on guiding Schneider Electric’s customers in their shift from passive to active energy management, as well as assisting them in achieving their renewable energy and carbon neutrality objectives by utilizing technology to optimize sustainability impact.

Prior to joining Schneider Electric, Shad held various leadership positions in sales, marketing, and strategy at multinational companies including L’Oreal, British Petroleum, and Philips.
