NWC signs MOU with WhiteHelmet to activate 4G tech. in remote monitoring of project performance and progress.

A memorandum of understanding (MoU) was signed by the National Water Company (NWC) and WhiteHelmet, a digital scanning company for information technology, with the intention of launching the implementation follow-up of infrastructure projects for water and environmental services, monitoring their performance remotely and the advancement of field work, in order to help improve business outputs.

During the Future Projects Forum, which took place in Riyadh from May 22 to 23, 2023, the MoU was signed in  May 23, 2023. His Excellency Eng.

Mansour bin Mohammed Abu Thnain, VP, NWC, Projects and Technical Services Sector, signed on behalf of the National Water Company. The MoU was signed by Abdullah Muhanna Abal khil on behalf of “WhiteHelmet”.

According to Eng. Abu Thnain, the goal of this MoU is to use fourth generation technology to streamline the process of following up on projects and remotely assessing their effectiveness.

He emphasized that there would be discussions about prospects for collaboration with the Digital Scanning Company (Whitehelmet), knowledge transfer in the area of offering, qualifying, and training services, and the sharing of experiences in the area of monitoring and documenting the execution of projects.

For its part, the Digital Scanning Company for IT “Whitehelmet” stated that it aims to establish joint cooperation with the National Water Company on providing and exchanging knowledge and technology, conducting experiments that highlight the adoption of techniques for following up and documenting the implementation of infrastructure projects, encouraging expert visits between the two parties, participating in meetings and workshops, and talking about areas of cooperation.
