WILMINGTON, Delaware (USA) – Solenis, a prominent global provider of water and hygiene solutions, has successfully finalized its previously announced acquisition of NCH Corporation (NCH). NCH is recognized as a leader in quality and a trusted expert in on-site middle-market water treatment and industrial solutions.
Through this acquisition, Solenis has expanded its operations to over 160 countries and now employs approximately 23,000 people. Based in Wilmington, Delaware, Solenis is owned by Platinum Equity. Following the completion of the deal, Bain Capital and the Levy family, the former owners of NCH, will retain minority stakes in Solenis.
“Integrating NCH’s well-established brands and extensive customer base in the middle market allows Solenis to achieve a more diversified business model with enhanced scale, a broader global presence, and improved customer service capabilities. The newly merged company will create valuable cross-selling opportunities, particularly to address the growing demand for sustainable and digital solutions,” stated John Panichella, Chief Executive Officer of Solenis.
“We are thrilled to collaborate with Solenis,” remarked the Levy family. “The combination of NCH and Solenis enhances our ability to provide customers with a wider range of products and services.”
“This acquisition represents a pivotal opportunity for Solenis to diversify its business further and enhance its service capabilities for customers,” said Platinum Equity Co-President Jacob Kotzubei and Managing Director Nathan Eldridge in a joint statement. “We are excited to welcome the Levy family as partners.”
BofA Securities, Goldman Sachs, BMO Capital Markets, and J.P. Morgan Securities acted as financial advisors to Solenis during the transaction.
