NWC Completes Water Networks in Al Kharj Governorate, Benefiting 14,000 Residents Across 10 Districts

The National Water Company (NWC) announced the completion of a water network project serving 10 districts in the Al Kharj Governorate, which is south of the Riyadh Region. This project is part of NWC’s ongoing efforts to increase coverage rates and deliver the infrastructure of the water and sanitation services sectors. More than 13 million Saudi riyals were spent on the project. In line with the goals of Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030, this project will benefit the people of the Al Kharj Governorate and promote water sustainability.

According to the corporation, the project involved putting in place water networks that were more than 19 kilometers long in order to provide drinking water to more than 14,000 recipients. In a number of districts within the Al Kharj Governorate, including Al Ghadeer, Al Hada VI, Al Zaher, Al Andalus, Al Faisaliah, Al Rayyan, Al Muntazah, Al Nuzha, Al Rawabi, and Al-Salamiya, it also sought to increase the operational efficiency of the daily distribution system.

NWC emphasized that in order to improve operating efficiency, increase service quality, and keep up with urban growth and rising water demand, it is still implementing infrastructure projects at a faster rate. These endeavors align with the goals of the Saudi Arabian Vision 2030 executive program, the National Transformation Program (NTP) projects.
