This was a key factor in Ibemapar’s decision to select WEG solutions. Leveraging its expertise in the hydropower industry, WEG provides comprehensive solutions for small hydro projects, integrating state-of-the-art engineering, innovative technology, and extensive experience in manufacturing electrical and mechanical systems.
For the Paredinha Hydropower Plant, WEG delivered three hydraulic turbines rated at 7,292 kW, three generators with a capacity of 7,788 kVA, along with electrical panels, ten transformers totaling around 50,000 kVA, a substation, and the complete electrical installation.
This marks the second collaboration of this kind between Ibemapar and WEG. Previously, they supplied two hydraulic turbines of 8,287 kW and two generators of 8,935 kVA, which included electrical panels, transformers, a substation, and electrical installation for the Boa Vista II Hydropower Plant. The high quality of the products provided for Boa Vista II was instrumental in solidifying the partnership with Ibemapar, leading to the contract for the Paredinha Hydropower Plant.
