DuPont (NYSE: DD) has proudly marked the 50th anniversary of its Kalrez® perfluoroelastomer components. Since its inception, Kalrez® has been instrumental in providing outstanding sealing performance in demanding sectors such as electronics, oil and gas, chemical processing, and more.
To celebrate this important milestone, employees participated in both in-person and virtual events, including gatherings at the new DuPont Tralee Park Annex facility in Newark, Delaware. During the celebrations, leaders reflected on the technology’s evolution and expressed appreciation for the customers, partners, and team members who have made Kalrez® a preferred sealing solution for many years.

Renowned for their outstanding resistance to chemicals, plasma, and high temperatures, Kalrez® products are engineered to comply with stringent industry standards for quality sealing technology. As new demands have arisen across various sectors, the Kalrez® product line has consistently adapted and expanded, now offering both standard parts and custom sealing solutions made from over 30 specialized compounds.
Among the latest additions to the Kalrez® product lineup are:
– Kalrez® Spectrum™ 7375 parts: Thermally stable up to 300°C, featuring extensive chemical and water/steam resistance. These components are compatible with amines commonly utilized in the oil and gas sector and are ideal for sour service applications, making Kalrez® 7375 O-rings and custom solutions excellent choices for valves, pumps, and compressors.
– Low permeation seals from the DuPont™ Kalrez® perfluoroelastomer series: Designed for high-temperature and high-vacuum applications, these seals operate efficiently up to 300°C. Their innovative multi-layer design minimizes gas permeation, including oxygen gas.
