Miahona Company has secured a contract valued at 1 billion Saudi riyals ($266.55 million) from the Saudi Authority for Industrial Cities and Technology Zones (MODON) to establish an industrial wastewater treatment facility in Jeddah’s 1st Industrial City.
In a statement issued to the Saudi stock exchange on Wednesday, the company detailed that the project will encompass the rehabilitation, development, construction, operation, and maintenance of wastewater treatment systems.
The agreement’s scope also covers capital investment, land use, service provision, and revenue generation through the sale of treated water. This initiative will be executed under a 25-year rehabilitation, operation, and transfer (ROT) model.
