Saudi NWC completes four major water projects in Taif.

The National Water Company (NWC), through its Western Cluster, has announced the successful completion of a series of water and environmental initiatives in Taif Governorate, totaling over 323 million Saudi Riyals (approximately $86 million). This effort is part of NWC’s ongoing commitment to enhance infrastructure and improve the operational efficiency of water and environmental services in the Makkah region.

The company highlighted that among these projects is the Rahmaniya Operational Reservoir, designed to meet water demands and improve the operational water system in the northern areas of Taif Governorate. This project, costing over 65.7 million Saudi Riyals, has a capacity of 100,000 cubic meters and will benefit more than 100,000 residents in the serviced areas.

On the environmental side, NWC has executed a sewage feeder lines project, extending over 34.8 kilometers and costing more than 36.5 million Saudi Riyals. This initiative will serve over 48,000 residents in the districts of Arimiya, Qadira, Al-Faisaliyah, and the Al-Jawhara Palace Complex in Taif Governorate. Additionally, a sewage feeder lines project was carried out in parts of Al-Huwaiya, Al-Istad, and Taif University areas, covering 16.5 kilometers to assist 26,000 beneficiaries, at a cost exceeding 19.1 million Saudi Riyals. This aims to enhance service quality and expand coverage in these regions.

Furthermore, NWC has implemented a transmission line project to strengthen the sewage network across various districts in Taif Governorate, including Al-Wesam, Eastern Ring, Bin Fatin, Al-Faisaliah, Al-Qumariyah, Northern and Southern Shuhada, Al-Bay’ah, Almaaredh, and Al-Washhaa. This project spans over 18 kilometers and has an investment of more than 202.3 million Saudi Riyals.

NWC emphasized that these projects are part of its strategic vision to elevate the quality of life and services offered, boost the operational efficiency of the water and environmental sectors, expand coverage in the beneficiary districts, and address environmental challenges. The company reaffirmed its commitment to advancing its future development objectives by enhancing operations within the water and environmental sectors in the region.
