
Casa dos Ventos to spend USD 2.4bn on renewables by end-2026
Casa dos Ventos, a Brazilian renewable energy developer, recently announced plans to invest more than BRL 12 billion (USD 2.4 billion/EUR 2.2 billion) in renewable energy assets by the end of 2026.
The announcement came as the company unveiled a new visual identity as part of its business growth and diversification strategy.
In addition to investing in the energy market, the company has plans to develop green hydrogen.
It is researching domestic market projects, primarily for the steel and fertilizer industries, and is involved in a project to produce green hydrogen and ammonia at the Pecem Industrial Complex in Ceara state with the goal of exporting the output.
The company currently has more than 3 GW of renewable energy projects in operation or under construction.
It has also formed a joint venture with its French minority shareholder TotalEnergies to build and operate 12 GW of wind and solar parks in the South American country.
