Leadership teams from LONGi, POWERCHINA, and ENGIE convened in Beijing, China, to officially sign a cooperation agreement for the 1.5GW PV4 Hazza 1 PV project in Abu Dhabi, UAE. This marks a significant step forward following the framework agreement signed by the three parties in Paris, France, in May 2025, indicating the project’s full transition into the implementation phase.
Under this collaboration, LONGi will supply 1.1GW of its high efficiency BC modules, Hi-MO 9, for the project. Once completed, the project will significantly boost clean energy production in the Middle East and establish a new benchmark for high-quality power stations globally.
The Khazna Solar PV Project is situated in the eastern Arabian Peninsula, characterized by a tropical desert climate with extreme and variable summer temperatures. The Hi-MO 9 module, LONGi’s flagship BC series product, leverages HPBC 2.0 high efficiency technology, delivering exceptional power generation performance. It ensures efficient and reliable operation even in challenging conditions such as high temperatures, humidity, and uneven light irradiation.
Mr. Zhong Baoshen, Chairman of LONGi, emphasized during the meeting, “The three parties will fully leverage their respective strengths in project development, technological innovation, and construction to jointly ensure the successful commercial operation date (COD) of this key project and expand the achievements of our cooperation.”
This partnership not only represents a new milestone in complementing each other’s strengths and advancing the global energy revolution but also serves as further evidence of LONGi’s BC technology empowering diverse global scenarios.
Moving forward, LONGi remains committed to energy innovation. With its BC product solutions offering superior levelized cost of energy (LCOE), LONGi will continue to contribute to the global green transformation and collaborate with international partners to embrace a “net-zero” future.
