Thanks to Saint-Gobain Canalização – Brasil and their application of Filtralite to reduce their water consumption by 24 000m3/year in the plant of Barra Mansa. In addition, to save water and energy, with Filtralite, the production capacity is increased.

Saint-Gobain Canalização – Brasil was featured in specialized publications with content on the reuse of 85% of all industrial effluent generated at the Barra Mansa/RJ and Itaúna/MG plants. The company was present on sector websites, such as: TAE and Anamaco, in addition to several news portals: Gazeta da Semana, O Estado de Minas, Diário de São Paulo, O Dia.

Faced with growing concern about water scarcity in Brazil, Saint-Gobain Canalização has taken significant steps to reduce its environmental impact by reusing more than 600 m³/h, an initiative that has a real impact on the conservation of water resources.

With six water and effluent treatment plants in operation, Saint-Gobain Canalização is doing its part to face the challenges of water scarcity in the country. This effort not only reduces the abstraction of water from water bodies, but also contributes to the preservation of fauna, flora and local communities that depend on these resources.

In addition to reaffirming its commitment to good environmental practices and, consequently, sustainability, the company also uses, in its treatment plants, first-rate products such as Filtralite, a revolutionary filtering medium that has the direct benefits of reducing energy consumption, increasing the flow capacity of each filter and delivering better quality drinking water.

It is Saint-Gobain Canalização – Brasil determined to continue leading the way in environmentally responsible practices, both in its operations and in the market as a whole.
