Renewables: TotalEnergies divests 50% of a 424 MW portfolio in Greece

In alignment with its renewable energy business strategy, TotalEnergies has finalized the sale of 50% of its 424 MW wind and solar portfolio in Greece to Asterion Industrial Partners. This transaction values the portfolio at €508 million, equating to roughly €1.2 million per MW installed.

TotalEnergies retains a 50% ownership stake and continues to operate the assets. Additionally, the company will off-take and market the majority of the electricity generated by these assets once they no longer benefit from regulated tariffs.

TotalEnergies’ Integrated Power Business Model
TotalEnergies is developing a competitive portfolio that integrates renewable energy sources (solar, onshore wind, offshore wind) with flexible assets (combined-cycle gas turbines, storage) to provide clean, reliable power to its customers. To meet its profitability goals and mitigate risks, TotalEnergies divests up to 50% of its interests in renewable assets, allowing the company to optimize the value of its portfolio.
