Pachora Power Transmission SPV: Key Step Towards Renewable Energy Evacuation in Madhya Pradesh by RECPDCL

In a significant development for the renewable energy sector, REC Power Development and Consultancy Limited (RECPDCL), a subsidiary of REC Limited, successfully transferred a project-specific Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV) to M/s G R Infraprojects Private Limited.

Pachora Power Transmission Limited was formed to oversee the establishment of an Inter State Transmission Project aimed at evacuating power from renewable energy projects in Rajgarh SEZ Phase II, Madhya Pradesh, with a capacity of 1000 MW.

This initiative was carried out through a tariff-based competitive bidding process.

The handover ceremony was attended by senior RECPDCL officials, representatives from the Central Transmission Utility of India Limited (CTUIL), and other key stakeholders.

The successful transfer represents a significant step forward in the country’s renewable energy infrastructure.

Speaking at the event, RECPDCL CEO Shri Rajesh Kumar emphasized the organization’s commitment to advancing renewable energy reforms in accordance with the Power Minister and Power Secretary’s visionary directives.

He emphasized the importance of tariff-based competitive bidding in facilitating the development of transmission systems for the evacuation of renewable energy, which will help the country meet its rising electricity demand.

RECPDCL takes pride in its role as a Bid Process Coordinator, facilitating the award of projects via the TBCB process.

This milestone underscores the collaborative efforts of various stakeholders in advancing India’s renewable energy objectives and marks a significant step forward in the nation’s transition towards sustainable power generation and transmission.
