Navantia Seanergies and Windar Renovables complete the monopiles for Iberdrola’s East Anglia THREE offshore wind farm

Navantia Seanergies and Windar Renovables Business Alliance Completes 45 Monopiles for East Anglia THREE Offshore Wind Farm

The Navantia Windar Renovables alliance has successfully manufactured 45 monopiles for Iberdrola’s East Anglia THREE offshore wind farm, located in the North Sea. This marks the second monopile order delivered to Iberdrola by the partnership.

The monopiles were produced at the joint Navantia-Windar factory in Fene (A Coruña, Spain), with each structure measuring up to 84 meters in length, 10.6 meters in diameter, and weighing 1,800 tonnes. These foundations will support the 1,400 MW East Anglia THREE project, set to launch in 2026 and capable of powering 1.3 million homes with clean energy.

This initiative builds on the alliance’s prior work for Iberdrola, including:
– 42 jacket-type foundations and a substation for the East Anglia ONE wind farm (same complex).
– Parallel production of 21 monopiles for Iberdrola’s 315 MW Windanker project in the Baltic Sea.

Over the past decade, Navantia Seanergies and Windar Renovables have collaborated on offshore wind projects across the UK, Germany, and France, securing over €1 billion in orders.
