Iberdrola has climbed five positions in the global ranking compiled by Corporate Knights and As You Sow, following an analysis of over 8,000 companies worldwide. This ranking demonstrates that electrification enhances energy security and competitiveness while reinforcing sustainability.
Since the previous edition, Iberdrola has moved up five spots to rank 17th among the 200 largest publicly listed companies included in the ranking, which assesses revenue derived from sustainable activities in accordance with Corporate Knights’ Sustainable Economy Taxonomy. This recognition highlights Iberdrola’s ability to combine sustainability, energy security, and competitiveness through its commitment to electrification.
Clean200 is a joint initiative between As You Sow, a global leader in values-aligned investing, and Corporate Knights, an international organization dedicated to advancing a sustainable economy. Since its launch in 2016, the ranking has consistently shown that companies focused on clean energy outperform those linked to fossil fuels.
This international recognition adds to other recent accolades. Iberdrola is ranked among the leading electricity companies in S&P’s Sustainability Yearbook 2026 and remains a constituent of the Dow Jones Best-in-Class Indices for the 25th consecutive year, making it the only European utility included since the index was created. The company has also once again earned a place on the CDP “A List” and is included in the world’s leading ESG indices and ratings, including Moody’s ESG, MSCI, Sustainalytics, ISS-ESG, EcoVadis, and FTSE4Good.
