
The ACQ580 4X drive is a recent addition to ABB’s versatile drive range, specifically designed for the water and wastewater sector.
It is engineered to endure severe weather conditions such as heavy rain, extreme temperatures, salt spray, dust, and is well-suited for challenging water and wastewater applications that demand reliable performance in extreme environmental conditions.
Certified to UL Type 4X (NEMA 4X) and IP66 standards, this drive provides protection against rain, dust, water splashing, and corrosion from caustic chemicals and gases. It also guards against damage from external ice formation, high humidity, and UV radiation.
With a fully sealed design, it offers exceptional corrosion resistance in various water treatment equipment like pump stations, clarifiers, surface aerators, flocculators, dosing systems, and activated sludge removal pumps.
The ACQ580 4X drive includes an optional robust line disconnect that eliminates the need for branch circuit fuses, maintaining a high short-circuit current rating of 100 kA and simplifying installation.
Additionally, an optional sun shield protects the UV-resistant drive from further exposure. For cabinet installations, a flange mount option is available to reduce the cabinet footprint.

Featuring a standard Bluetooth control panel, this drive allows for seamless and secure connectivity, commissioning, and monitoring through ABB apps like Drivetune and Drive Composer.
The Bluetooth panel enhances convenience and safety by keeping personnel out of the arc flash boundary. Available in various power ratings ranging from 1 to 30 HP in different voltage configurations.
