Improving Sewer Flow Efficiency with the RELINER Modular Manhole Channel Invert System

Maintaining seamless drainage and sewer system operations requires effective manhole design.  Poor hydraulics frequently cause blockages, backups, and expensive maintenance in traditional manhole channels.  Regardless of site conditions, the RELINER Modular Manhole Invert System provides a workable, field-ready solution that uses marine-grade fiberglass components to create long-lasting, factory-quality manhole channeling.  This system guarantees long-term dependability and simpler maintenance by enhancing flow performance and streamlining installation.

What is the RELINER Modular Manhole Invert System?

A range of marine-grade fiberglass stock parts make up the RELINER Modular Manhole Invert System, which produces factory-quality flumes in the field regardless of site conditions by constructing long-lasting, smooth manhole channels for ideal flow conditions.  By addressing inadequate manhole hydraulics, the system lessens the likelihood of backups brought on by wipes, paper, and solids.

Channel Components and Sections

All manhole-lining systems are compatible with the field-installed modular components, which bolt together and can be adjusted to a variety of field conditions and manhole sizes.  After installation, a new concrete bench is placed using the fiberglass manhole channels as a form.

Straight, 45- and 22-degree bends, T´s, Y´s, four-way, and dead-end channel sections are all available. To provide a variety of configurations as needed by field conditions, various sections are fastened together using the stainless-steel bolts that are included.

High flow and ease of cleaning and maintenance characterize the full-depth lined channels.  Standard channel sections that are 8 or 12 inches deep can accommodate pipes that are 6 to 12 inches in diameter and fit through a 24-inch manhole frame.  There are larger sizes available.

Manhole Channels Benches

The hydraulic flow through the manhole unit during drainage events and sanitary sewer flows is impacted by manhole benching.  Half benches and full benches are the two most popular benching configurations.

Whereas the horizontal benches extend from the semi-circular channel to the manhole interior wall, the lower half of the pipe shape extends through the manhole channel in the case of a half bench.  A full-depth manhole channel creates a full bench, improving hydraulics.

Pipe Terminations

As the interface between the channel sections and the incoming and outgoing pipes, pipe end sections come in a range of pipe diameters.  Each Pipe End Section has a smooth transition into a round fiberglass pipe on the other end, and one end of the section bolts to the adjacent channel sections using the stainless-steel bolts that are included.   When necessary, the round section is field trimmed to align with the ends of the sewer pipes that enter and exit the manhole.
