Saudi’s NWC likely to award East Medina sewerage contract by Q1 2025.

The National Water Company (NWC) of Saudi Arabia is expected to finalize the design and construction contract for the East Medina Main Lines and Sewerage Networks project by the first quarter of 2025.

According to the source, the contract is projected to be concluded by early March 2025.

This project aims to significantly upgrade the sewage infrastructure in eastern Medina. It encompasses the installation of 166 kilometers of sewer networks, with pipe diameters ranging from 200 to 400 millimeters, as well as 7.4 kilometers of conveyor lines with diameters between 500 and 800 millimeters.

Additionally, the work scope includes 6.9 kilometers of horizontal drilling, along with excavation, backfilling, and other associated tasks.

The tender for this initiative was released on November 7, 2024, with bid submissions due by December 8, 2024.

The overall project value is estimated to be around $120 million, according to the source.
