Miahona, a company specializing in water and wastewater management based in Saudi Arabia, has entered into a partnership with Uzbekistan’s Ministry of Investment, Industry, and Trade, along with Uzsuvtaminot, the country’s primary water authority.
This collaboration is focused on investigating and implementing state-of-the-art water and wastewater treatment initiatives throughout Uzbekistan.
The agreement encompasses nine projects that will be executed under the Build-Own-Operate-Transfer (BOOT) and Enhanced Operations and Maintenance (EOM) frameworks.
Miahona intends to identify opportunities for establishing four new wastewater treatment facilities while also managing the operation and maintenance of five existing plants.
These current facilities are situated in the Fergana and Jizzakh regions. This endeavor aims to meet the increasing need for modern and efficient water infrastructure in these locations, promoting sustainable development and environmental conservation.
This collaboration marks a key achievement in Miahona’s strategy for global expansion, establishing the company as a frontrunner in international water and wastewater solutions.
The agreement will be valid for one year or until both parties agree to an extension. Financial specifics for the projects will be determined following the due diligence process, as stated by Miahona.
This partnership underscores the rising international interest in Uzbekistan’s water infrastructure sector and illustrates Miahona’s dedication to broadening its presence in rapidly growing markets through innovative collaborations.
