Meredith Emmerich Joins Xylem Inc. as SVP and President, Applied Water.

Xylem, a prominent global water solutions provider, has appointed Meredith Emmerich as Senior Vice President and President of Applied Water, effective October 21. Emmerich will become part of Xylem’s senior leadership team, reporting directly to President and CEO Matthew Pine.

Applied Water is one of Xylem’s four main business divisions, offering innovative water management solutions tailored for industrial and commercial building sectors.

Emmerich takes over from Franz Cerwinka, who will remain as a senior advisor until March 2025 to facilitate a seamless transition.

Prior to her role at Xylem, Emmerich served as Vice President of Global Enterprise Solutions at Carrier Global Corporation. Since 2013, she has held various senior positions within Carrier, a leader in intelligent climate and energy solutions, including overseeing the Americas Commercial HVAC and Global Residential, Light Commercial, and VRF HVAC sectors.

With over 20 years of experience and expertise in smart building solutions across industrial and commercial environments, she consistently prioritizes customer satisfaction while maintaining operational excellence. Before her tenure at Carrier, Emmerich held various engineering, sales, and product management positions at Mitsubishi Electric Cooling & Heating and Mitsubishi Telecommunications. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering and a Master of Science in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology, and she is also a graduate of executive leadership programs at Harvard Business School and INSEAD.
