Douglas OHI UAE has announced in a press release that it has secured a major civil works contract in partnership with GS Inima in Abu Dhabi.
The project will involve the undertaking of civil works at the Shuweihat 4 Reverse Osmosis Seawater Desalination Plant.
The state-of-the-art plant will desalinate seawater using low-carbon reverse osmosis technology and supply up to 70 million imperial gallons per day of drinking water, enhancing water security in Abu Dhabi’s Al Dhafra region.
Group Managing Director Aaron Hennessy stated, “Our previous collaboration with GS Inima at the Barka Desalination plant in Muscat, Oman demonstrated our capability to deliver high-quality works. I’m delighted that Douglas OHI has once again been selected as the civil contractor on this exciting project in Abu Dhabi, reaffirming our strength in the built environment and our successful relationship with GS Inima.”
General Manager Anil Kumar expressed, “I’m personally looking forward to working alongside GS Inima again to deliver a project that is at the heart of our core business.”
This is Douglas OHI’s second collaboration with GS Inima, following their joint work on the Barka Desalination plant in Muscat.
