Diehl Metering GmbH, a prominent player in smart metering solutions worldwide, has acquired PREVENTIO GmbH, a German tech startup focused on leakage management and predictive maintenance.
This acquisition aims to strengthen Diehl Metering’s abilities in real-time leak detection and enhance its Analytics & Services offerings. PREVENTIO’s AI-driven technology evaluates both historical and current data to identify leaks and irregularities in water and heat supply systems.
This will augment Diehl Metering’s current software solutions, such as Water Loss Management and Energy Forecast Management, equipping customers with more powerful tools for efficient resource management.

The agreement was formalized in Frankfurt am Main on Thursday, November 28th, with the founders and investors of PREVENTIO, alongside Dr. Kilian Semmelmann and Martin Fuchs from Diehl Metering, marking a key milestone in the partnership between the two companies.
