Danfoss has announced that Daniel Winter will take over as the president of Danfoss Power Solutions, succeeding Eric Alström, who has opted to pursue new opportunities after 12 years with the company.
Starting January 1, 2025, Daniel Winter will join the Danfoss Group Executive Team as President of Danfoss Power Solutions. With significant experience at the company, he is well-equipped for this position. Currently, he serves as Chief Financial Officer for Danfoss Power Solutions, where he plays a vital role in the Power Solutions Leadership Team (PSLT), focusing on financial strategy and ensuring robust segment performance amidst growth and market challenges.
“I’m eager to build upon our solid foundation, exceptional products and solutions, strong customer relationships, and a talented team known for achieving great results,” stated Daniel Winter. “Despite market challenges, we are ready to tackle them and elevate Power Solutions.”
Prior to his current role, Daniel Winter held the position of Senior Vice President, Head of Finance Functions, at Danfoss Group from 2017 to 2020, and was also Senior Vice President, Finance and Controlling, at Sauer-Danfoss from 2013 to 2017. He earned a Master’s degree in managerial economics, controlling, and tax from Friedrich-Alexander-Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg in Germany.
“I am thrilled to share that Daniel will be joining the Danfoss Group Executive Team as Segment President of Danfoss Power Solutions. He will ensure continuity and help us maintain our long-term growth trajectory,” remarked Kim Fausing, Danfoss President and CEO.
“Daniel brings a wealth of experience, having dedicated most of his career to Danfoss and Danfoss Power Solutions. He aligns with our ambitions and enthusiasm for the mobile and industrial hydraulics sector and will work alongside the PSLT to further develop the business with our customers. I also want to express my gratitude to Eric for his commitment, strong leadership, and significant contributions to Danfoss and Danfoss Power Solutions over the past 12 years. We wish Eric the best in his future endeavors and Daniel success in his new position.”
Eric Alström joined Danfoss in 2012 as President and CEO of Sauer-Danfoss. Under his leadership, the segment has evolved into a prominent global player in mobile and industrial hydraulics and electrification.
“Danfoss has undergone significant transformation since I came on board 12 years ago, particularly in the last five years,” Eric Alström noted. “The merger of the Eaton Hydraulics team with the Power Solutions team has been a career highlight for me. Many former Eaton colleagues expressed that it felt like returning home, which made the integration much smoother, and the rest of us felt similarly. Together, we have strengthened our position as leaders in hydraulics, which remains central to Danfoss. Danfoss is a unique company, and I will always cherish our clear purpose, long-term strategic vision, and strong culture.”
