ABB acquires Aurora Motors.

ABB has finalized an agreement to acquire Aurora Motors, a global provider of vertical pump motors valued at $4 million.

With engineering and operations based in Shanghai, China, and a corporate office and distribution center located in Hayward, California, USA, Aurora Motors offers a respected product range to ABB. The company has a loyal customer base across 30 countries, a skilled customer-focused sales team, and strong alliances with key suppliers.

This acquisition is part of ABB’s growth strategy within its Motion Business area, enabling the NEMA Motors Division to improve its product lineup, broaden its supply chain, and enhance support for its international customers.

“This strategic acquisition not only broadens our global reach but also addresses significant gaps in the market. It aligns with our goal to foster innovation and provide exceptional value to our customers around the world,” stated Jesse Henson, president of ABB’s NEMA Division.

“Integrating Aurora’s vast experience and knowledge in the vertical pump motor industry with ABB’s premier operations and dedication to excellence is truly exciting!” remarked Conroy Shum, president of Aurora Motors.
